Emergency Water Maintenance Repair: Route 207 Area, Monday 4/20

Monday April 20th, there will be an EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE repair. There will be NO water from 8:30am-4pm, & a boil water advisory for: Temple Hill Rd from Fisher Ln to the Thruway overpass including the New Windsor Country Inn, Hempstead Rd, Wembley Rd, Executive Dr, Rt 300/Union Avenue from Rt 207 to Town of Newburgh Line, Rt 207 from 912 Little Britain Rd to Rt 300, including Silver Spring Rd, Moores Hill Rd from Brown's Drive to Rt 207. https://bit.ly/3anS9o9

 Update 4/20 8:30am: Temple Hill Rd, Wembley Rd, Hempstead Rd, Executive Dr & the Country Inn WILL HAVE water & NOT BE affected by the work today.

Town Hall hours for week of April 20 - April 24

Our Town Hall and Recreation office schedule for this week is as follows:

Monday: Closed
Tuesday through Thursday: 12pm - 4pm
Friday: Closed

When open Tuesday through Thursday, Town Hall will still be closed to the public. Our employees will be available via phone, email and via website.

Refuse will be picked up on your normal day, Monday through Friday.

Emergency Leak Repair 4/16; boil water advisory cancelled

Emergency Leak Repair& Boil Water Advisory 
On Thursday, April 16, 2020 from 9am to 4pm you may experience no or low water pressure on the following streets: Browning Road, Burroughs Lane, Byron Lane, Frost Lane, Hemmingway Road, Keats Drive, Melville Drive, Shelly Road and Stephenson Lane.

There is NO BOIL WATER ADVISORY as the repair was contained to a service line. 

Town of New Windsor Court is closed until further notice

The Town of New Windsor Court is closed until further notice. 

  1. If you have received a suspension notice from DMV with an effective suspension date during the time of the courts closure, those suspensions have either been lifted or removed.
  2. If you are concerned about an unpaid fine please know the court will NOT be enforcing any penalties to unpaid fines during the courts closure. We will be extending payments a minimum of 30 days from the courts re-opening.
  3. ALL court matters have administratively been adjourned until further notice:

**If you had a court date during the courts closure, or have an upcoming court date while the court remains closed, we will be sending each person a notice with a new court date once we get the directives that the courts can re-open.

We thank you for your cooperation in the effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19 to the others in the community.

Updated Town Hall Hours for April 7-10

Updated Town Hall hours for this week starting on Tuesday, April 7:

Tuesday & Wednesday, April 7 & 8: Town Hall will be open via phone, email and web from 12noon-4pm.  Town Hall is still closed to the public. Refuse will be picked up as normal.

Thursday, April 9: Town Hall will be closed for a deep cleaning and sanitization for the safety of our employees. Refuse will be picked up as normal.

Friday, April 10: Town Hall will be closed in observance of Good Friday. Refuse normally picked up on Friday will be picked up on Monday, April 13.

Town Hall and Recreation Closed on Friday, April 3

In an abundance of caution for our employees, our Town Hall and Recreation Department with be closed this Friday, April 3, for a deep cleaning and sanitization of all office space. Refuse and recycling will be picked up as normal. Modified hours of 10am-4pm will resume on Monday, April 6 with employees available via phone, email and on our website at newwindsor-ny.gov. For emergencies, contact the New Windsor Police Department at (845) 565-7000.

New Windsor Parks Closed Until Further Notice

Effective at 8am on Monday, March 30th, all New Windsor Parks will be closed to the public until further notice. Basketball rims have been removed and tennis courts have been locked. Supervisor Meyers has been forced to take this further action based on large groups of people not observing the social distancing guidelines set by New York State at our parks. New Windsor Police and Recreation Staff will monitor parks to enforce this closure.
