Town Receives Nearly 1.6 Million Dollars in Settlement Funds from DEA Investigation New Windsor Town Supervisor Stephen A. Bedetti and Police Chief Daniel Valeri are proud to announce that the town has received nearly 1.6 million dollars in settlement funds as part of a long Drug Enforcement Administration investigation. Recently retired New Windsor Police Detective Michael Schwartz spearheaded the involvement of our police department as a long-standing member of the DEA Drug Task Force. This money will be used for future drug related investigations and to further invest in our police department. Thank you to retired Detective Schwartz and our entire police department for all they do to keep New Windsor safe on a daily basis. Much of their hard work goes unnoticed but New Windsor residents should feel better knowing our police department is continually working to make our town a better place on a daily basis.
